Description
Marjorie triumphantly reopened its doors in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in the spring of 2010. Anchoring the corner of 14th Avenue and East Union with a 40 seat Jewel Box on a beautiful tree lined street, Marjorie has quickly re-established itself with its trademark warmth and hospitality.
The reinvention boasts a visible renewal with colorful furniture and a warm steel bar. The turntable in the bathroom entices guest to linger and enjoy the pleasure of old school tunes.
Marjorie will delight you with a warm reception, reputable cocktails and amazing cuisine.
Originally created in Belltown in 2003, Marjorie pays homage to owner, Donna Moodie’s mother. Following Marjorie around the kitchen, Donna quickly gained respect for “cooking from scratch” with high quality ingredients. The kitchen at Marjorie uses the highest quality of ingredients, supporting local farmers and artisans whenever possible, reflecting the values that Marjorie instilled in her daughter’s youth. The handcrafted cocktails are quickly becoming a reputation building cornerstone of Marjorie. The unique décor, much of it handcrafted, results from a collaboration with SKB Architects, Metal Artists, Carla Grahn and Peter Reiquam and, of course Donna’s unique aesthetic. From the raw silk ceiling pillows to the wood floors and the art on the walls, Marjorie has a one of a kind look that has been lovingly created by hand. The recently added Annex has been a welcome addition. Hailed as the perfect private party
